Green Packet partners MMAG for e-wallet services

KUALA LUMPUR: MMAG Holdings Bhd has partnered with Green Packet Bhd to set up a digital payment system for foreign workers, confirming a StarBiz report on the partnership.

StarBiz reported that both parties will collaborate to digitise salary payments, following the decision by the Human Resources Ministry to make it mandatory for salaries of foreign workers to be credited into an e-wallet or a bank account.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Green Packet said its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Kiplepay Sdn Bhd had entered into a master agreement with MMAG’s wholly-owned subsidiary MMantap Sdn Bhd.

“MMantap wishes to engage and Kiplepay agrees to utilise the kiplePay digital payment system and solution for the use of migrant foreign workers managed by MMantap,” it said.

Green Packet said the agreement is for a period of 24 months and will be renewed for successive periods of 12 months each.
