KUALA LUMPUR: Shares in Pineapple Resources Bhd continued to attract investors’ interest in early trade Thursday.
The counter jumped 27.38%, or 23 sen to RM1.07, making it one of the top gainers on Bursa Malaysia. It has risen some 109% so far this year.
Pineapple is involved in the trading of computer hardware, software, peripherals and accessories. It also operates Thai Hou Sek and Bhai Jim Jum restaurants under its food and beverages business.
The company has not made any corporate announcements recently. Its last announcement on Bursa Malaysia was its quarterly results in February.
In the first six months to Dec 31, 2020, Pineapple posted a net loss of RM221,000 on revenue of RM28.2mil. The company changed its financial year-end from 31 December to 30 June.
