KOTA KINABALU: The Covid-19 vaccine is safe for us, says Sabah CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Jauteh Dikun.
SAC Jauteh, who was among 100 plus policemen to receive their Covid-19 vaccine shots on Sunday (March 7), assured the public that there will not be pain or negative side effects from it.
“I am fine, I feel the same as I was before and after the jab. I hope all those who are concerned or skeptical about taking the vaccination will take it, ” he added.
He said this is for the good of all as the world struggles to fight this pandemic.
Kota Kinabalu OCPD Asst Comm Habibi Majinji, who was also among those given the vaccine jab in the immunisation programme for Sabah, said a total of 1,270 from the district police station will receive their shots in phases.
“We are facing an invisible enemy, the Covid-19 virus, so let us work together to break the chain of transmission and do our part to protect ourselves and those around us, ” he said.
As of March 6, Sabah has seen a total of 5,858 people taking the vaccine.
A total of 42,164 are targeted to receive the vaccine in this first phase of immunisation in Sabah.
