KUNMING, July 31 (Xinhua) — Southwest China’s Yunnan Province reported no new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and nine imported ones on Friday, the provincial health commission said Saturday.
All of the imported cases arrived in Yunnan from Myanmar through land checkpoints on July 29. They tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday while under quarantine.
The province also reported no new imported or locally transmitted asymptomatic cases, said the provincial health commission.
By the end of Friday, there were 371 confirmed cases still hospitalized in Yunnan, including 60 locally transmitted cases. There were also 27 asymptomatic cases, including two locally transmitted.
