PETALING JAYA: Not only is Ammeer Dhiyaulhaq Errman a speedster on the racing track, but off it, he is also a whizz kid.
The Cub Prix rider scored 9As in his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examinations and was adjudged as the best student in Perak.
The 18-year-old from SMK Sains Teluk Intan was thrilled to get it right in sports and studies.
“I thought it would be tough to get 9As after I completed all my examination papers, but I was surprised when I saw the result. I’ve done well in terms of my sports career and studies, ” said Ammeer.
“My hard work in preparing for my studies and sport has paid off. During the movement control order though, I had more time to study and used it well.”
The young rider says he will continue with his balancing act.
While his ultimate goal is to take part in the Asian Road Racing Series and eventually, the MotoGP, he also has plans to further his studies.
Ammeer was supposed to race in Cup Prix in May at the Tangkak Track but it has been postponed.
While waiting for the new dates, he is saving up for future races by doing food delivery service, which helps keep him in shape too.
Now, that’s the determination of a future star in the making.
