Eye on Africa – Niger post election violence kills two, hundreds arrested

In tonight’s edition: Two people in Niger have died in post-election violence and hundreds have been arrested, according to the government accusing a prominent opposition figure of stoking the unrest. In Central African Republic government forces continue to advance against the forces of a rebel coalition. They’ve retaken the town of Bozoum. The human cost of the fighting is slowly emerging. And finally in the run up to Ivory Coast’s legislative election, we take a look at organizations encouraging women  to take part in politics.
